The homeowner wanted to improve the functionality of their ground floor layout by:
· Extending the rear of the property

To connect the extension with the existing house, structural openings were created and steel beams installed. These works allowed the kitchen, dining and living areas to flow together as a single open space.

· Ceiling adjustments to create a flush ceiling between old and new spaces
As with many extensions to older homes, several technical challenges arose including uneven ceiling joists and adjustments to glazing dimensions. These were resolved through careful on‑site coordination.
